Lancaster Township Fire Department conducted a water rescue class during the month of August. The training was segmented into three parts.

The first part was held Monday August 9, at the Hershey Heritage Village swimming pool. Training included practicing throw bags and pulling victims into the boat.

The second part was held on Sunday August 22.This secession focused on moving water rescue at Lancaster County Central Park in the Conestoga River.

The third part was held on Sunday August 29, at the Chesapeake Bay. This portion concentrated on boat operations and rescue.
