SUNDAY AUGUST 20, 2006 - LTFD held it's monthly Sunday training
secession at the Lancaster Water Works on the Conestoga River. This was the third part of a three
part water rescue class taught by Deputy Chief Ron Comfort Jr.
The purpose of the class was to familiarize the firefighters with the
proper procedures used in water safety and give them a greater sense of
competency in dealing with on-the-water emergencies.
LTFD firefighters were joined by Lancaster City Firefighters from Engine 1 and 3 along with Captain Ken Barton.
The third part of the training included boat operations and water rescue from the boat.
