Wabank Road House Fire Considered Suspicious
March 22nd, 2004, 4:41 AM

State police are investigating what they call a suspicious fire that destroyed a vacant home early Monday morning in Lancaster County.
The fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. on the 1700 block of Wabank Road in Lancaster Township.
Fire officials said there was evidence that someone broke into the home and may have set the blaze.
The home had been vacant for two years.
Damage is quite extensive.
"The house is extensively damaged unfortunately because it was so old and it was damaged by fire," Fire Chief Glenn Usdin said. "One of the walls is in danger of collapsing. More than likely, the house will be condemned by the township and it will probably have to be demolished."
State police are still investigating the cause.
No one was hurt.
