Vehicle Hits Pole On Millersville Road

and Millersville Fire Company responded to a single vehicle accident
with possible entrapment in the 1900 block of Millersville Road.
Lancaster County Wide Communications reported an erratic driver
travelling at a high rate of speed hit a pole across from the Elizabeth
Martin Elementary School, in the area of Comet Field.
Millersville Fire Company was initially dispatched to the accident at
11:30 am. Upon the arrival of Millersville Fire Chief Keith Eshleman,
he determined the accident was in Lancaster Township.
Millersville firefighters and Lancaster EMS personnel removed the driver from the vehicle through the passenger side door.
Due to a medical condition, the driver
of the vehicle left Millersville Road just south of the Barbara Street
stop light in Millersville Borough.
The driver continued through a field next to the roadway in a large arc
travelling from an open field onto Penn Manor Comet Field property.
The truck travelled over 500 feet through 2 fields, making it's way back to Millersville Road.
The vehicle came to a halt in Lancaster Township after hitting a PPL
pole, a large wooden street sign and side swiping a passing car in the 1900 block of Millersville
Road.
Millersville Borough Police and Lancaster Township Fire Police controlled traffic around the accident scene.
Emergency personnel remained on the scene for just over an hour
