Lancaster
Township Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident at the
intersection of Schoolhouse Road and Atkins Avenue Saturday June 18 at
11:19 p.m.
An intoxicated driver lost control of his vehicle
Green Ford Explorer on School House Road at Atkins Avenue. The SUV hit
a curb, fire hydrant and utility pole. After the impact the truck
flipped onto its side. The driver was uninjured.
Fire Police closed Abbeyville Road to traffic until the scene was cleared.
Emergency services remained on the scene for an hour.
