SATURDAY FEBRUARY 6, 2010 - A massive snowstorm dumped 18 to 20 inches on Lancaster overnight, and wind gusts of up to 15 mph whipped drifts to six feet and higher.
The wet, heavy snow was expected to continue falling through the morning, ending around noon, and predictions of depths up to 24 inches appeared to be on target.
In Lancaster, 17 inches of snow fell by 8 a.m.
PennDOT urges travelers to postpone any non essential travel until after the storm passes out of Pennsylvania.
