MONDAY FEBRUARY 12 - Firefighters were shown the basic tools used in fire ground knots and rope rescue. They included rope and webbing, knots created using rope and webbing and assorted equipment hauled or secured using rope, webbing and or knots.

At the conclusion of the training, Firefighters were able to recognize and demonstrate the tying of basic fireground and rope rescue knots.

Firefighters were taught the importance of knots and the possible uses in rope rescue evolutions.

The information presented was among that which every firefighter must know, and is also a starting point for those wishing to pursue further rope and rope rescue disciplines.
