Rescue Responds To Willow Street Building Fire

TUESDAY JULY 10, 2006 - Rescue 6-6 responded to a building fire at Willow Street Tire And Auto, 326 Beaver Valley Pike at 9:31am
County Wide Communications reported to responding units a car was on fire inside the building.

Willow
Street Deputy Chief Mike Reese arrived and found heavy smoke coming
from the building and fire inside the structure. Deputy Reese
established command and immediately requested additional equipment.

The air cascade on the Rescue was used to fill air cylinders.
LTFD
Engine 66-3 was also dispatched to stand by in Willow Street's Station
to handle any additional calls in West Lampeter Township.
As the
rescue was clearing the fire scene, LTFD was dispatched to Colonial
Hall Nursing Home, 120 Rider Ave. for a medical assist.
LTFD firefighters assisted Lancaster EMS with patient lifting and packaging.
