FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 8, 2006 — LTFD responded to a car fire at the intersections of Penrose and Roselle Avenue at 3:34 p.m.

Engine 66-2 found the fire was out upon arrival and recalled incoming units.

Crews used a pressurized water can to cool the engine compartment and disconnected the battery due to burnt wires.

The vehicle was a 1982 blue Chevy El Camino.
