MONDAY OCTOBER 16, 2006 — Fire extinguisher training was the topic of Monday night training which was led by Firefighter Nick Jabbour.

A short classroom discussion explained the various classes and types of extinguishers and their use.

For the second half of the evenings training, firefighters used extinguishers on a live fire exercise.

Two classes of combustible material were placed in tubs. The first tub was filled class "A" material, wood and paper. The second was filled a class "B" material, a flammable liquid.

Firefighters extinguished each fire using the proper extinguisher.
