MONDAY MAY 8, 2006 — Search and rescue was the topic of a joint training session with Southern Manheim Twp. Fire Company.
An abandoned house at 1250 Shreiner Station Road was filled with mock
smoke so firefighters would have a realistic atmosphere inside the
house.
LTFD Assistant Chief Steve Roy, Lieutenant Paul Castline and SMT Captain Tom Bender conducted the training for the firefighters.
Meanwhile, Firefighter Nick Jabbour taught new and junior firefigthters
ladder carries, ladder placement and ventilation around the building.
