Lancaster Township held it’s seventh annual Community Day September 25 at the Maple Grove Community building. This annual event provides Lancaster Township residents to view the many services provided by the township. A few of the service groups on display were the Lancaster Township Fire Department, Lafayette Fire Company, Lancaster City Police Department, Lancaster Recreation Commission and Lancaster Emergency Medical Services Association. LTFD Truck 6-6 took residents up in their bucket to feel what it is like to ride in a ladder truck. Children also were also able to use a hose line from Lafayette Engine 6-3-2 and take a short trip in LTFD Engine 6-6-2.
