TUESDAY JULY 11, 2006 – LTFD paid tribute to three of it’s long time members during the July monthly Business meeting.
Tom Schaller, 46 years of service, Elmer Reese, 42 years of service and
Pat Egan, 40 years of service, were honored for their years of service
to the volunteer fire department.

Tom Schaller joined the Bausman Fire Company in 1946 and was elected
Bausman Fire Chief in 1986. Schaller is currently the treasurer of LTFD
and a Lancaster Township supervisor.
Elmer Reese joined Wheatland Fire Company in 1964. Reese also was
a member of Lampeter Fire Company and Elected Bausman Fire Chief in
1981. Reese is currently a member of the Air Cascade Operations
Committee.
Pat Egan joined Wheatland Fire Company on July 15, 1966 at the age of
15. Egan was also a member Eden Fire Company and was elected
Wheatland Fire Chief from 1977-1979 and 1983-1991. Egan is currently a
firefighter and apparatus driver.
Bausman and Wheatland Fire Companies merged in 1991 to form the current Lancaster Township Fire Department.
