Joseph H. Lauscher, Sr.

Joseph H. Lauscher, Sr., 57, of 602 N. Pine St., Lancaster died unexpectedly Monday, February 28, 2005 while working in New Jersey.

A truck driver, he was employed by Central Penn Transportation, Lancaster for 20 years. Joe was a member of the Rohrerstown Fire Co., serving as a firefighter and a fire police lieutenant from 1980 until 2004. He was currently a member of the fire police of the Lancaster Township Fire Department.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Army Reserves.

Born in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Howard A. and Eleanor Moellor Lauscher.

He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne M. Lauscher and a son, Joseph H. Lauscher, Jr., both of Lancaster and also their mother Harriet P. Lauscher.

Joe s Funeral will be held at the Hamilton Park United Church of Christ, 1210 Maple Ave., Lancaster, on Wednesday, March 9, 2005 at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Dr. David Bushnell officiating. Interment private and at the convenience of the family in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. The family will greet friends at the Church on Wednesday from 12:00 pm(noon) until 1:00pm.
