FRIDAY JULY 7, 2006 - LTFD

"Tin Shop."

The fire started inside a small building
that holds electrical transformers, knocking out electricity and phone
service for the north-side of the university for a few hours, said
Janet Kacskos, spokeswoman for the university.
The
Truck crew placed a PPV fan on side Alpha, then relieved Engine 65-4
crew on the interior who were removing panels to gain access to the
transformers and fire.

The burning transformers produced a moderate amount of flames and a heavy smoke condition on the interior of the building.
Engine 66-1 crew arrived and reported to manpower staging.
There were no injuries and an estimate of the damages was not available.
