THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2007 — LTFD was dispatched at 10:30 a.m. to assist Southern Manheim Fire Company for a reported house fire at 1391 Harrisburg Pike in Manheim Township.
The first units on the scene reported heavy smoke from side Charlie. As first crews were making an interior attack, conditions worsened prompting a second alarm request.
Engine 66-3 arrived with 5 personnel as the 5th piece on the first alarm. The crew was assigned to utility control and pulling a 3rd line off of Engine 211-3.
The engine crew also advanced the third line into the attic area with a crew from 211 via a ground ladder on side Bravo.
The firefighters found heavy smoke and fire on the Charlie/delta corner.
The crew also performed various salvage and overhaul tasks.
The engine crew was in service for approximately 2 hours.
