WEDNESDAY MAY 9, 2007 - A concerned citizen noticed a frantic mother duck quacking and flapping here wings in the front yard of 151 Bentley Lane.
The inquisitive citizen walked over to the area of the duck and found the ducklings in the storm drain and called the LTFD South Station for help.
Firefighter Bob Leaman, assisted by a co-worker, lifted the storm drain grate to access the disoriented ducklings. Firefighter Jake Boman gently removed each one, returning all 13 to the awaiting mother duck.
After all were safe, the duck family waddled it's way toward a nearby stream.
