FRIDAY AUGUST 11, 2006 – Lancaster Township Fire Police assisted
with traffic control at the 14th annual St. Joseph’s Catholic Church
carnival.
The carnival ran from August 7-12 at the St. Joseph’s athletic fields, off Wabank Road in Lancaster Township.
Fire police placed traffic control devices on Wabank road to assist carnival-goers enter and exit the athletic fields.
Fire Police officers worked from 4-11pm each night.
Firefighters Duty Night was held in conjunction with the fireworks display on Friday August 11 at the carnival.
In preparation for the Duty Night fireworks detail, a group of firefighters gathered at Dominion Pizza, 938 Columbia Ave. for dinner and fellowship.
After dinner, Engines 66-1, 66-2 and 66-3 proceeded to the St.
Joseph’s athletic fields to provide fire protection during the
fireworks display.
