SUNDAY JUNE 17, 2012 - LTFD was dispatched for a accident standby after a car ran into a garage at 2:02 p.m.
A vehicle was parked on a steep driveway across from 444 S. President Ave. when the driver pressed the accelerator pedal instead on the break pedal.
The car traveled down the driveway, across S. President Ave, over the curb and crashed into the garage wall of 444 S. President Ave.
The vehicle did not penetrate the structure but moved the garage wall inward about a six inches.
The vehicle was moved back into driveway from where it originated prior to the arrival of the fire department.
The fire department evaluated the damage and deemed the structiure was safe.
The driver was not hurt.
