May 8th, 2008, 7:58 AM

WEDNESDAY MAY 7, 2008 - A two vehicle accident sent three people to the hospital after a 5 p.m. accident in front of WGAL

A white Jeep Cherokee rear ended a blue Ford explorer in the 1200 block of Columbia Avenue.

The Ford Explorer was waiting at the red light in the east bound lane of Columbia Avenue when the Jeep Cherokee failed to notice the stopped traffic and crashed into the back end of the stopped vehicle.

The driver of the Explorer stated she was waiting for the light to change when all of a sudden there was a large crashing noise and jolt.

Engine 66-3 crew provided spill control, spreading oil absorbent on the roadway.

Rescue 66 swept the absorbent from the roadway.

Units were in service for 30 minutes.
