A Few Members Visit FDNY For The Day
September 17th, 2004, 12:37 AM

While on a business trip to NYC, Lt. Paul Castline, Capt. J. Hatfield, Chief 512-2; Brad Shenk and FF Craig Rhineer went to visit Squad 270 in the Jamaica portion of Queens. While driving to the station, Squad 270 flew past us and pulled in a few blocks away. As we pulled into the block, a heavy black smoke column appeared from a 3 story, store front tenement (apartment) building. After Heavy fire conditions were reported in the cellar with extension to the 1st and 2nd floors, a 2nd alarm was struck. A special thanks to FDNY Battalion Chief and Command School instructor Ronald Boyce for the invitation to the station. (Click Here For More Pictures)
