Lancaster Township firefighters found  the ranch home of S.J. Lombardo, 1332 Meadowcreek Lane, "fully involved'' in fire at about 1 a.m.

The blaze apparently started in the garage and spread into the home, causing between $30,000 and $40,000 damage, investigators said.

A neighboring home at 1330 Meadowcreek Lane had about $1,000 damage.

The fire's cause remains under investigation, but it appears to be accidental, Deputy Chief Ron Comfor Jr. Comfort said.

None of the four occupants was injured. One Lancaster Township firefighter sprained his ankle and required treatment at Lancaster General Hospital.

Meadowcreek Lane runs west from Abbeyville Road to Springside Drive, south of Columbia Avenue.

Firefighters were at the scene for about 3 1/2 hours

Firefighters from Rohrerstown, Millersville, West Lancaster, Southern Manheim Township, East Petersburg and Lancaster City also responded.
