TUESDAY JULY 18, 2006 – LTFD Engine 66-2 and Truck 6-6 assisted
Rohrerstown Fire Company on a building fire at the Stauffers of Kissel
Hill store, 301 Rohrerstown Road, at 9:37. LTFD was also diapatched to
three additional calls all between 9:30 and 10 a.m.
A haze had filled the store, which was immediately evacuated. Between 40 and 50 customers were in the store at the time.
Firefighters said the haze developed when a motorized cart that carries supplies through the store started smoking.

At 9:57, Rescue 6-6 was dispatched to a vehicle accident with
entrapment in the area of Hawthorne Drive and Manor Ridge Drive in
Manor Township. A truck traveling through a residential neighborhood
pulled down wires and a pole trapping occupants inside a vehicle.
At 10:10, LTFD was dispatched to Bentley Lane for an automatic fire alarm.

At 10:13, Fire police were dispatched to assist with traffic control.
The accident interrupted power in Lancaster Township. Traffic signals
